How does ultrasonic vinyl record cleaning work?

Ultrasonic cleaning is a very different approach to vinyl record cleaning compared to classic 'brush and pad' based cleaning methods:

There is no mechanical interaction between a cleaning tool and the vinyl surface
Brushes, pads and wands essentially remove dirt by scratching along the surface scraping away any dirt that is in their path.
No micro-scratches can be introduced by the ultrasonic cleaning process.
Ultrasonic cleaning is based on microscopic high pressure water jets generated by cavitating bubbles in a cleaning fluid. The bubbles are generated in the low-pressure regions of the sound waves penetrating the cleaning fluid.
A great aspect of ultrasonic cleaning is that these bubbles will clean wherever the fluid can penetrate. This means they will also go to the very bottom of the grooves on your records. Brushes/sponges/cloth will not get there since they simply do not fit or cannot conform to the shape of the grooves.
